solareveillefigured i'd dump a few of these on dw for a low-stress First Dreamwidth Post? lol idk. anyways! much thanks to permutative for this dreamwidth primer without which i would be very lost right now. feel free to talk at me about any of these if you like ✩
ot8 focused
motorcity (2012) au - inspired by halateez and the rhythm ta stage. they're rebel street racers who inhabit the underbelly of a ruined city, forced into the shadows by the chrome and diamond Deluxites. hongjoong was the top man's old protege till he saw his true colors and bailed. yeosang is sort of a double agent for them? and mingi hates driving and navigates for joong in the passenger seat till he gets his own set of wheels but he still isn't a huge fan. would probably go for mostly fireworks Looks for them in this au tbh
requisite pirateez au - remember when i was reading about the age of sail earlier this quarter and i lost my mind about pirates. anyways i am justifying the use of magic in this one because magic is cool and also because i keep imagining the treasure/precious motif of like, reaching too far or seeking Too Much and lmao imagine Literally Burning Out your sight in the pursuit of treasure? glad no one would Ever do that. haha anyways
also i don't think it needs its own entry but sticking pirateez in SPACE is also a favorite pastime of mine mostly because i think yeosang deserves to have a Stabby the Space Roomba of his own
homestuck au - i can't think of any way this makes sense without a lot of the supporting hs cast so this might be art-only but it's kids plus patron trolls and it was inspired by me rosemarying at seongjoong and then having the terezi!wooyoung epiphany. Basically, chaos witchy boy hongjoong who occasionally hangs out with Cthulhu and awkward government-assigned Mom Friend seonghwa who happens to be a vampire. he has a chainsaw. it's great. also san is crazy, yunho is just trying his best, yeosang is asleep for the first two acts, mingi gets tossed around a lot, and no one respects jongho.

jab we met au - seonghwa as geet and hongjoong as aditya. or the other way round i could see it both ways?? hnnng i JUST THINK people rocking each other's worldviews is neat.
genshin au - beiguang but it's seongjoong. i don't know enough about genshin to qualify this one but i kind of think it's the best thing ever except my brother called ningguang jeff bezos and it killed the vibe. just a pirate and a democratically(?) elected official who really really don't like each other but they DOOO they do.
canonfic - marigolds and falling snow and shooting stars. in which i wax poetic about park seonghwa just cause :] this is probably on higher priority than most of these other ones
canonfic but a bit to the left - uhhhhhhh well. tfw u keep listening to hymn for the weekend too late at night and it makes you feel like nothing is real? weird intense vibes

lotus hotel - i don't have a title yet but this is weird time magic fic! strangely, involves no time travel. i have it most of the way planned out but haven't had time to write/this is actually one of my more well developed ideas so i don't wanna say too much about it yet lol. their hair is inception era tho
jaane tu ya jaane na - woosang as jai/aditi and san as meghna but they get a happy ending!! picture: wooyoung singing yeosang kabhi kabhi aditi (kabhi kabhi yeosangie~) and getting him a kitten (thanks kani)

karate kid au - probably only a short fic coming out of this one but i can't get it out of my head. it's the fault of those thanxx outfits i swear.

tfw no gf (gamer friend) - i don't know if this even counts but i had an idea for a fic where mingi is pining after hongjoong and jongho has a dumb crush on wooyoung and they commiserate about it a lot over ice cream while commandeering yunsan's gaming setup.

really vague idea about like, the more subtle righthandmanisms of yunho being the #dependable dongsaeng and them being the oldest trainees (even though mingi showed up pretty fast too? i don't really know the chronology here that well). also i've been thinking about yunho's tendency to bend to hongjoong's height when they're next to each other for like interviews and stuff and it gives me brainworms
